Well here it is February already. Sorry we haven't written for a long time. Things have been crazy here and we know it has been busy for you as well.
In November we had stake conference. It was pretty low key because there was a broadcast on Sunday, so all we had to do was some stake business. One of my councilors, President Duncan, with his wife were called on a mission to Guam, so he was released and a new one called. He has been really good but I sure I'll miss President Duncan anyway.
Thanksgiving was nice. We went to Ben and Laura's and had a very good day.
In December, Beth and Clay came for Christmas and stayed for several weeks. It was so good to have them around. I don't know what we would do without grandkids visiting. Also in December, the mission president's wife got sick. She had a cyst on her colon and it burst, filling her with infection. She almost died but has recovered pretty well now. I think they just took the tube to drain the infection out this past week. They expect that it will be April or May before she feels good again. They will be released on July 1st. Also we got a new temple president in Billings. It is Ron Morrison. He was the stake president in Lovell.
In January I had another CCM meeting wwith Elder Smith. Clarlyn is still working at the school and helping Doerr's with their Unker's business as well as being a fulltime wife, mother and grandmother. She was released from the stake Relief Society Presidency and is now (again) the beehive advisor and 2nd councilor in the young women's org. in our ward. We think this is the 5th time she has been in young women and the 4th time as 2nd councilor.
Ben's business is going well. He seems to get busier and busier. He has a good reputation already and that has brought him a lot of work. Laura has completed her requirements to be a substitute teacher in the Lovell area and is looking forward to trying her hand at that. Brent is doing well although when he came over for Christmas, he broke his arm while riding his new "Rip Stick" in the hangar.
Lyn and Cody are also doing well. Cody is still working at Best Buy and continues to impress the company. Lyn is pregnant (Due in June) and trying to keep up with Noah, Lockly, and Lilly. Beth and Clay have kinda struggled because of Clay's hurting. He still can't work as much as he would like and so they are looking at trying to get a medical retirement from the Army. Even if they can't, Clay's time is up in October, I think.
Well I'll try to get this sent out and posted on the "blog".
Love all of you and look forward to seeing you when we can.
